NYFW Anna K Fashion Show Fall/Winter 2016

Anna K's collection played with street style in a very whimsical way. The 20 year old designer behind the brand accented the clothing with fun space inspired patches and prints, rocketships, comets, planets... Leather jackets had an astronaut feel and the music pounded during the show as if readying us for takeoff. The designer created the collection with her own generation of fashion crazed millennials in mind saying, "My generation are like space invaders in fashion now... newcomers in the fashion world." Besides for the cartoonish rocket ship designs, I was completely taken by her new shoe collection of pearl encrusted loafers and lace up sneakers. The collection also showcased a lot of plaid, ruffles, and the same yellow, red, blue combo I keep seeing on the runway. Such a fun show!
